New parts, ready for rebuilding

It has been a while since I posted.

It seemed not only the pistons are worn out, but also the bearings (main and big end). Trying to find a reconditioned engine, but at a trustful suppliers had to order and got delivered somewhere in January. Too impatient for that :)

So made the big decision to buy reconditioned parts and do the job myself. Ordered and collected parts at ESM (actually now we had a reason for a short holiday in the UK).

At home unpacking the new parts: Reconditioned block, head for unleaded fuel and reconditioned crankshaft. And a lot of small parts too.

The block has +0.002" bores with matching pistons and piston rings. The big end bearings and main bearings (oversized) came with the crankshaft. The head is fully assembled with new valve guidance, valves and springs. All look new:
